PLAYING TIME, TIED SCORE, FORFEIT & OVERTIME.
- The regular playing time shall be 1 period of 10 minutes running time.
- In the event of a tie the game will go straight to free-throws. The first team to score two free-throws wins.
- A team shall lose the game by default if it leaves the court before the end of the game or all players of the team are injured and or disqualified.
- A team shall lose the game by forfeit if at the scheduled starting time of the game the team is not present on the playing court with 3 players ready to play.
- If a team is disqualified/of forfeits for the second time in case of infringements or no-show, the team shall be disqualified from the tournament.
BEGINNING & END OF THE GAME
- Both teams shall warm-up simultaneously prior to the game.
- A coin flip shall determine which team gets first possession.
- The game will begin in the event that one of the team is not on the court at the required time of tip-off. In that case time will start and the team on the court will resume with game play until the opposing team arrives before the score gets to 11
- Regular time ends when a team gets to 11 points or when time is up.
- During check-ball the ball is at the disposal of the offensive player after the check-ball has been completed: after check-ball the ball is live.
- Ball possession changes after every score.
- Possession of the ball given to either team following any dead ball situation shall start/resume with a check-ball, i.e. an exchange of ball (between the defensive and offensive player) behind the arc.
- Each team shall be granted one time out which will last for 30 seconds.
- A timeout cannot be granted when the ball is live.
POINTS
- A goal released from the free-throw counts as 1 point.
- A goal scored from inside the arc counts 1 point.
- A goal scored from behind the arc counts 2 points.
SUBSTITUTIONS
- Both teams are entitled to make a substitution when the ball becomes dead prior to a check-ball or free throw.
- The substitute can enter the game without any prior notice to the officials or table officials while the ball is dead.
PLAYER: INJURY
- In the event of injury to a player(s), the officials may stop the game.
- If the ball is live when an injury occurs, an official shall not blow his whistle until the team in control of the ball has shot for a field goal, lost control of the ball, withheld the ball from play or the ball has become dead. If it is necessary to protect an injured player, the officials may stop the game immediately.
- If the injured player cannot continue to play immediately (within approximately 15 seconds) or, if he receives treatment, he must be substituted.
- Substitutes may enter the playing court, only with the permission of an official, to attend to an injured player before he is substituted.
- A medical staff may enter the playing court, without the permission of an official if, in the medical staff's judgement, the injured player requires immediate medical treatment.
- During the game, any player who is bleeding or has an open wound must be substituted. He may return to the playing court only after the bleeding has stopped and the affected area or open wound has been completely and securely covered.
- If the injured player or any player who is bleeding or has an open wound recovers during a time-out taken by either team that player may continue to play.
